Measurement Principle
DHE G80 FMCW Radar Level Meter is a "top view" measurement system based on the principle of frequency modulation continuous wave (FMCW). The antenna emits the electromagnetic wave with continuously changing frequency to the medium, and then the electromagnetic waves are reflected after reaching the surface of the medium. Finally, the reflected echo is received by the antenna again.

FMCW principle:
1 Transmit signal 2 Receive signal Therefore, there is a frequency difference between the transmitted signal and the received signal at any point in time:Af=k* O T, in which△t is the running time of electromagnetic wave and K is the slope of frequency modulation. △t is related to distanceD:D=△t*C/ 2, and C is the speed of light. So D can be calculated based on the measured frequency difference O F. And then determine the actual level height in the tank based on D.

Application
DHE G80 FMCW radar level meter, is suitable for level measurement of liquid medium and solid medium. Applications include: aqueous media, hydrocarbons, liquid gases, solid particles and other media with dielectric constant greater than 1.4.
The product has the characteristics of non-contact measurement, continuous output and multiple antenna types, which meet the installation and use of various working condi-tions. For example: highly corrosive nitric acid storage tank, liquid chlorine storage tank with dielectric.
