ELL UItrasonic Non-contact Level Switch
ELL Ultrasonic Non-contact Level Switch is a redun-dant vibration Level switch operates with“frequency ultrasonic" technology. With measurement attaches on outer wall of containers, it will not contact with medium,thus is suitable for level measurement of various medi-ums.
Sensor of the product will generate ultrasonic wave and detect redundant vibration signals inside container wall. When liquid level is higher than sensor, the ampli-tude of redundant vibration will decrease. The product will then detect this change and get a switch signal output.

Over-height level or evacuation is easy to lead safety accident and economic loss. According to safety regulations, there shall be level switch installed on tanks thus when liquid level reach to a set upper or lower limitation, an alarm will work to prevent accident.

Upper and lower level limitation detection is the ideal application of ELL-SA series Ultrasonic Non-contact Level Switch. Normally liquid stored in spherical tanks are explosive, flammable, toxic, or with strong corrosive property, thus spherical tanks are taken as key safety management devices. Installation of Ultrasonic Non-contact Level Switch requires no diling, no tank cleaning, no flame operations; measurement process will not contact medium and gas,hence could eliminate all possibility of leakage and ensure safety.
As an important raw material storage tank, horizontal tank is widely used in industries for storing liquid mediums that corrosive, toxic, easy to volatile and form explosive mixture with air such as liquid ammonia and LPG. Hence it is always with high chemical accident ratio. In China, some industries like light industry, power or metallurgy are with low automation level. Normally the only on site level equipment is glass tube or magnetic float level meter. In this case, failure of the main level equipment will easily cause danger. The best solution for level equipment is to install an independent upper limitation alarm switch as spare switch for level equipment already installed.

Switch signal could be set by, alarm setting type safety barrier, not calibrated and show 9+0. 2mA means liquid level is not certain; 10+0.2mA means liquid level is lower than the lower limitation alarming point; 12t0.2mA means the liquid level is between the upper and lower limitation alarming points; 14+0.2mA means liquid level is higher than upper limitation alarming point; 15+0.2mA means transmitter failure.

Industry case
The main problem of traditional ultrasonic level switch is interference from attachments on container walls. This interference will affect ultrasonic waves and produce drift according to temperature and time, then change amplitude of redundant vibration, and result error finally. In order to avoid over-height level accident,there shall be devices for detection and alarm for tanks. According to safety regulations, there shall be upper limitation alarm devices mount on oil tanks. Since oil tanks are with characteristics of large volume, flammable,explosive, some of tanks are not allow driling,and oil could not contact with air, the tradition-
